Cedar Mill's wooded lots, tucked into unincorporated Washington County between Beaverton and Portland's west hills, see about as much tree cover as any neighborhood we work in. That shade is a big part of the area's charm — and the main reason moss pressure runs higher here than almost anywhere else on our list. Grass simply can't out-compete moss in deep, consistent shade without real intervention.
